![]() User logs into Windows while on-net: the connection fails (this is desirable) as it can't resolve the DNS name for the VPN gateway, BUT FortiClient does not automatically attempt to connect when the user moves off-net. I'm having problems in the following circumstances: it does automatically connect if the user logs into Windows while off-net, and once the tunnel is up, the user cannot disconnect it from the FortiClient GUI. ![]() User is unable to disable or disconnect the VPN Users are able to move between on-net (LAN/internal Wi-Fi) and off-net (public internet) and tunnel automatically connects as required VPN automatically connects when client is off-net and doesn't connect when client is on-net The only FortiClient functionality I'm interested in is Remote Access (SSL VPN). I do not have EMS, or FortiClient licences. FortiGate is a 201E and I'm using the FortiClient Configurator tool from the Fortinet Developer Network to customise the installer. However it seems to be impossible to boot into safe mode if you are using Bitlocker with TPM and PIN.I'm trying to configure the FortiClient VPN on my Windows endpoints. Next I wanted to try to stop when loaded into windows 7 Safe mode. The service fortshield is not visible in the ordinary services.msc.įrom the registry (HKLM/currentcontrolset/services) I found out that there were a bunch of "forti*" services running but not visible in the services.msc. However if i run "net stop fortishield" from an elevated command prompt it tells me it was unable to stop the service. ![]() A different thread suggested that it first requiredĪ different service to be stopped ("Fortishield"). The service throws error message "Incorrect parameter" when i try to stop the service (net stop FA_scheduler). It is not in the startup folder but is started by a service "FA_scheduler". It is sort of an endpoint security software and I guess that is why i have had so hart disabling it. I only want to activate it when I need it. ![]() I have tried to disable the software Forticlient (from Fortinet). ![]()
